Are you staying over tonight?

It had been a long time since we met up after work on Friday and went out for dinner.

Lately, I’d been tired from work and often spent my days off alone, but eating with Mika-kun is still fun.

Tomorrow we were planning to go shopping together. I was thinking I should go home, get ready, and what I should wear... when it happened.

"...Do you want to stay over tonight?"

While drinking his drink, Mika-kun asked me that.

"You’re making such an 'eh?' face," Mika-kun laughed happily, leaning in a little as if to peer into my reaction.

"Mm... I want us to wake up and head out together right away."

"You said you’ve been tired lately. If you go home, get ready, and then come all the way here tomorrow morning, that might be a little rough."

His casual thoughtfulness made me happy, and the warmth spread gently through the depths of my chest.

I wanted to prepare clothes and a few other things too... When I asked if I could go back to get my bag, Mika-kun smiled happily.

"Of course. I’ll be waiting, so let’s go get it."
